Towing and roadside assistance in Morton Grove
Stuck in a commuter lot, outside a shop on Dempster Street or in your driveway? Tell Rick’s what happened and exactly where the vehicle is parked. We can check whether roadside help or compatible wheel-lift towing is the right next step before you arrange service.
Open 24/7. Call with your vehicle details to confirm availability and receive a quote.
Morton Grove pickup details: Lehigh Avenue, Dempster and your actual entrance
For a vehicle near Morton Grove Metra, give the lot entrance and parking position rather than just saying “the station.” The Village identifies the station at 8501 Lehigh Avenue. Tell us whether the car is in a marked parking space, at a pickup area or on a nearby street; those are different access situations.
Along Dempster Street and near Waukegan Road, use the nearest street number and cross street. If a business has rear parking, give the driveway street and any gate instructions. A storefront address alone may send a truck to the wrong side of the building.
For a home pickup, describe whether the car faces into a driveway or sits behind another vehicle. Let us know about a narrow approach, locked gate, sloping driveway or garage before dispatch. A space that fits a car does not necessarily fit the equipment needed to move it.
Coming back from the train to a car that will not start?
Tell us whether the engine clicks, cranks normally or does nothing, and whether you have the key. That description helps us discuss a jump start, battery help or towing without assuming every no-start is a dead battery.
If towing is needed, choose a destination and confirm the repair shop can accept the vehicle. After hours, ask about its drop-off location and key procedure. Do not assume a locked business lot will be available when the truck arrives.
Choose the help that fits the problem
- Wheel-lift towing: Tell us the make, model, drivetrain, wheel condition and destination. Compatibility must be assessed. Rick’s does not offer flatbed towing.
- Jump starts: Describe the no-start symptoms and where the battery can be accessed. A jump start is not a repair for every starting or charging problem.
- Vehicle lockouts: Have proof you are authorized to access the vehicle. If a person or animal is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
- Usable-spare tire installation: Confirm that a compatible spare is present and accessible. This service is spare installation, not roadside tire repair.
- Fuel delivery: Confirm the fuel type and exact vehicle location when requesting help.
- Mobile battery replacement: Battery fit, stock and installation access must be checked for your vehicle.
What to have ready when you call
- Exact address, nearest cross street and the entrance leading to the car.
- Year, make, model and drivetrain, if known.
- What happened, any visible damage, and whether the wheels roll or steer.
- Keys, authorization, gates and clearance restrictions.
- For towing, the destination and its vehicle drop-off instructions.
Rick’s is an independent mobile service. This guide does not imply an office in this neighborhood, a partnership with local facilities or permission to enter restricted property. Our office is on North Hamilton Avenue; Lake View East is our primary service area.
Morton Grove service questions
Can you meet me at Morton Grove Metra?
Call with the actual parking location, entrance and vehicle details. Access and service suitability must be confirmed; a station name by itself is not enough to arrange pickup.
Does a flat tire always need a tow?
If the vehicle has a usable, compatible spare and a suitable working location, spare-tire installation may be an option. Tell Rick’s if the spare is missing, damaged or inaccessible so we can discuss the next step.
