Ricks Emergency Roadside Assistance LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides towing and roadside services in Chicago and nearby areas. This policy explains what we collect only to perform your service and how we handle it.
Information We Collect (Service-Only)
- Contact details you provide: name and phone number (for calls or texts).
- Service details: incident location, vehicle info, and any notes/photos you share so we can complete the job and provide an ETA.
We collect this only to perform the service you requested. We do not sell, share, or keep this information beyond our short operational window described below.
Cookies, Website & Technical Logs
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing trackers. Our website runs on WordPress; your browser and our hosting provider may generate basic technical logs (e.g., IP address, timestamp, pages requested) for security and uptime. We do not use these logs to identify you or for marketing, and we do not combine them with your service information.
How We Use Information
- Provide the service: dispatch, navigation/ETA, real-time communication (call/text), and payment at the time of service.
We do not use your information for advertising, remarketing, or website optimization projects.
Sharing
- We share job details only with our internal team needed to perform the job (owner/operator and the assigned driver).
- Payments: If you pay by Square or Zelle, the payment is processed by those providers (or your bank for Zelle). We do not store card or bank information.
We do not record calls and do not use call-tracking numbers.
Retention & Security
- We retain service information only for 24 hours after your service is completed and payment is processed, solely to resolve immediate questions (e.g., directions, receipts). After that, we do not keep it.
- We use reasonable measures to keep information secure while actively completing your job.
Your Choices
Because we don’t keep personal information after 24 hours and don’t run marketing/analytics, there’s no ongoing profile to manage or opt out from. If you need help within that window, contact us.
Children / Underage Drivers
Our services are intended for licensed drivers of legal driving age under applicable state law. We do not knowingly provide services to, or collect information from, individuals who are not legally permitted to drive.
