What Roadside Assistance Includes—and What to Confirm
Understand jump starts, spare-tire changes, lockouts, fuel and towing, plus the difference between a direct service call and roadside membership coverage.
Using AAA or another roadside benefit?
If you want to use membership benefits, start through the provider’s official contact channel, such as AAA Roadside Assistance. Ask about eligibility, service-call and towing limits, dispatch requirements and any amount you must pay. Benefits vary; check your own terms.
A direct call to Rick’s is a separate service request unless your provider confirms another arrangement. Do not assume AAA membership automatically pays for independently booked assistance, or that Rick’s is a AAA contractor. Confirm authorization or reimbursement before accepting a paid service.
Service and coverage are different
A roadside business performs the work. A membership, warranty benefit or insurance add-on may pay for qualifying work under its own rules. Do not assume calling a business automatically uses your benefits.
What can Rick’s help with?
- Jump starts: starting assistance for an appropriate battery no-start; not an alternator or starter repair.
- Flat tire changes: installation of your usable spare when the vehicle and work area are suitable.
- Lockout help: discuss safe access to locked-in keys and vehicle requirements.
- Fuel delivery: confirm the required fuel and location.
- Towing: compatible light-duty wheel-lift transport when roadside help is insufficient.
- Battery replacement: subject to compatible stock, vehicle requirements and safe access.
Questions for your benefit provider
If you intend to use roadside benefits, contact the provider’s official number or app. Ask whether it must authorize or dispatch the service, what distance or service limits apply, what you would pay yourself and whether independently arranged help is reimbursable. Save its instructions and any reference number.
Coverage depends on your own plan. Rick’s does not determine that coverage, and this site does not promise direct billing, reimbursement or free service.
Requesting help directly
You can call Rick’s to discuss a direct service request and price. Give the exact location, vehicle details and symptoms. Confirm the agreed service, total quote and arrival estimate before accepting. A WhatsApp message or visit to this website does not confirm dispatch.
If you already have another service on the way, tell both providers before arranging a second call. Confirm any cancellation terms directly so you do not unintentionally authorize two jobs.
Questions before you call
Does roadside assistance include every mechanical repair?
No. A roadside service may address a limited immediate problem or move the vehicle to a shop. Parts, diagnosis and repairs depend on the service agreed; membership coverage is a separate question.
Is a tire change the same as mobile tire repair?
No. Rick’s advertised tire service is usable-spare installation. Do not assume it includes puncture patching, mounting a new tire or supplying a replacement tire.
How do I know what kind of help to request?
Describe the symptoms and location, or use the help selector. A no-start, flat tire, lockout and overheating car can require different approaches.
